Young karting talent wants to use home advantage

Julian friemelt is currently the most successful driver in the karting boys’ squad of the AMC kitzingen. The ten-year-old leads the rankings of the lower franconian and also the bavarian championship. His older brother kevin friemelt, meo winter and christian kahl also still have a chance to recommend themselves for higher tasks.

And so, before the home race this sunday in kitzingen, trainer and youth director markus friemelt also states: "this year, i am very satisfied with the performances of all the boys and was very proud to be able to accompany all four of them to further championships."

"We want to use the home advantage to push the boys even further forward, and also defend our previous third place in the team ranking in the lower franconia youth kart slalom cup," explains markus friemelt. In the age group (AK) 2 is julian friemelt mab of things, he leads in the lower franconian championship and also in the BMV rating and is to qualify the championship of the ADAC northern bavaria in second place. The schoolboy from the kitzingen area has won the races in gerolzhofen, bad konigshofen and bad bruckenau and has always been on the winners’ podium in the other races as well.

Meo winter starts in the age group 3 as fifth in the lower franconian championship. For the BMV ranking he is on sixth place and in the ranking of the ADAC nordbayern on fifth place. "For meo a good placement at our home race is very important to keep himself in the top five of the BMV and ADAC and thus qualify for the north bavarian and bavarian championships", markus friemelt outlines the requirements.

After the performances in knetzgau (2nd place), bad bruckenau (4th), bad konigshofen and bad neustadt (both fifth places), a podium place or even a domestic class victory is to follow for him. Kevin friemelt won two races of the local club wurzburg and the AMC bad konigshofen, and in knetzgau he was third on the podium. Because of his confirmation he had to skip a race. So his fourth places for the further championships are to be seen in relative terms. "I expect kevin to qualify for the upcoming championships as well," his father and coach is certain.

In the lower franconian championship and in the BMV ranking, the rider from nenzenheim is in fourth place and in the ADAC ranking he is in fifth place. After third places in bad konigshofen and bad neustadt and a fourth place in knetzgau, a jump on the podium helped to keep them in the front ranks.
